Snow Peaks 50 Mile Trail Run
The Snow Peaks 50 Mile Trail Run is a 50 mile loop in the Wasatch Mountains above Provo, Utah, held on the second Saturday in June, June 13, 2026. The course departs from and returns to Vivian Park and follows a mix of singletrack, dirt roads and some pavement.
The route includes approximately 10,000 feet of elevation gain and loss and five major climbs ranging from about 1,100 feet to nearly 3,000 feet. The course reaches its highest point at Windy Pass, near 9,300 feet, and includes a descent of nearly 4,000 feet back toward the canyon. Runners encounter technical terrain, snow-patched high country, alpine meadows, ridgelines, aspen and pine forests, stream crossings, and long runnable stretches.
Notable sections described include the opening 2.1 miles from Vivian Park along the Provo River Trail past Bridal Veil Falls to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, a 3.7-mile stretch along Hobble Creek Road near mile 22.7, and the final 3.7 miles through South Fork Provo Canyon to the finish at Vivian Park. Aid stations are placed along the course, with locations that may shift depending on snowpack.
Registration opens December 31, 2025. Early registration is $180 through January 31, standard registration is $195 beginning February 1, and late registration is $250 as of midnight MST on May 24. Registration closes June 7 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
