30th Annual Smith McMillan 5K
The 30th Annual Smith McMillan 5K takes place on October 24, 2026 at 101 School Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 and will kick off Homecoming Weekend at WFS. The event includes a 5K road race and a separate Kids Dash that is free to children.
Proceeds support a financial aid endowment established in memory of siblings associated with the event. All pre-registered participants receive a long sleeve race T-shirt.
Awards are given for Top Overall male and female, and Top male and female in alumnus, faculty and staff, and walker categories. Age group awards recognize the top three male and female finishers in each of these divisions: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Registration information published for the event indicates an opening date of April 21, 2026, a closing date of October 24, 2026, and a registration fee of $25. Sponsors who register by September 26 are listed on the long sleeve race T-shirt, acknowledged at the event, and included in the winter issue of Quaker Matters magazine, which is mailed to more than 6,500 members of the Friends School community.
