Smiley Sprint Triathlon : Clemmons, NC, July 26, 2026
The Smiley Sprint Triathlon is a non-profit sprint-distance triathlon held at Clemmons West Pool in Clemmons, North Carolina. The event includes multiple competition categories: Age Group, Novice, Aquabike, Relay Team, Assisted Athlete, Athena, and Clydesdale. Proceeds are returned to the race or directed to local charities with a priority for brain cancer initiatives.
Distances for the main event are:
- 300 m swim
- 12 mile bike
- 5K run
Participants are assigned to one of three starter waves based on registration date: Wave 1 for registrations by June 30; Wave 2 for July 1–22; Wave 3 for July 23 through race day. Participants who register in Waves 2 or 3 will be placed in a later wave; placements within Wave 1 require registration by June 30.
The event provides services aimed at supporting first-time triathletes, including a concierge team available during the event, first-timers’ recognition at the awards ceremony, and a triathlon/transition clinic at packet pickup. Athlete amenities listed for the event include custom race medals, race shirts, catered post-race food and local beverages, race photography, live finish-line music, and post-race massage.
