SLS Dash 5K
The SLS Dash is a community running event at Kessler Mountain Regional Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas, that supports SLS Community's work for neurodivergent adults. The event features a chip-timed 5K and a chip-timed 1 mile fun run. The 5K includes an adaptive mobility start and the courses are fully wheelchair accessible, so participants can run, jog, walk, or roll.
The event uses a route that passes the future home of SLS Community below the rolling hills near Mount Kessler at Mile Zero of the Razorback Greenway. A superhero and Halloween theme encourages family-friendly costumes for racers and volunteers. Organizers list race fees: $35 for the 5K course, $25 for the 1 mile fun run, and a $10 registration option for neurodivergent runners.
Additional elements noted for the event include a chip timing system, available merchandise, sponsor support at multiple levels, and a workout plan designed for a range of fitness approaches. Past editions and materials such as route maps, sponsor information, and event galleries are associated with the SLS Dash series. The event is presented as a way to celebrate community and support inclusive fitness opportunities for neurodivergent individuals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
