SLS Dash 5K for neurodiversity
The SLS Dash is a community running event that supports SLS Community’s work providing resources for neurodivergent adults. It offers a 5K course and a 1 mile Fun Run, both with chip timing and designed to accommodate runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair users. The 5K includes an adaptive mobility start and the courses are fully wheelchair accessible.
The event takes place at Kessler Mountain Regional Park in Fayetteville, AR. The route passes through the future home of SLS Community and runs below the rolling hills that begin at Mount Kessler near Mile Zero of the Razorback Greenway.
Registration fees are stated as $35 for the 5K, $25 for the 1 mile Fun Run, and $10 registration for neurodivergent runners. The event has a Super Hero and Halloween theme; racers and volunteers are invited to wear superhero outfits or family-friendly repurposed Halloween costumes to maintain the themed atmosphere.
Organizers provide a 5K workout plan intended to help participants prepare, and past event materials such as route maps, results, photos, and sponsor information are available. The event description lists sponsorship levels and notes that proceeds support inclusive fitness opportunities and programming for neurodivergent adults.
