Frozen Toes 5K & 15K
The Frozen Toes is an annual cold-weather trail running event held in January at Kessler Mountain Regional Park in Fayetteville. The event offers two distances:
- 15K
- 5K
Both courses start and finish at the Kessler Mountain Baseball Complex and are approximately 95% singletrack. The 15K course contains several technical sections. Registration opens September 1 and runs through January 21; adult registration for either distance is listed at $35 and a youth price for the 5K is listed at $15. Registration includes custom event socks, a finisher medal, soup, a drink, and additional event amenities; race shirts are available for purchase for an extra fee.
Packet pick up is available the day before the race at the Fayetteville Parks Office and on race morning at Kessler Mountain. Timing is provided by Race Wizard and a results board is onsite; official event photos are taken and published after the race. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and the top three in each age group.
Additional on-course and post-race details include aid stations, fruit and bagels, water and sports drink, hot beverages, and a complimentary beer for participants 21 and older. Heated restrooms are available for changing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
