Event details
The City of Fayetteville presents the annual cold weather trail running race at Kessler Mountain Regional Park on January 24, 2026. Online registration for the event closes January 22; in-person registration is available January 23-24, subject to capacity. Entry fees are $35 for adult 15K or 5K and $15 for youth 5K. Race shirts are available for an additional fee of $20 to $25.

Race and logistics
Both courses start and finish at the Kessler Mountain Baseball Complex. The routes are about 95% singletrack; the 15K includes several technical sections. Registration includes custom event socks, a finisher medal, hot soup, and a cold beer. Additional on-course and post-race provisions include fruit, bagels, water, Gatorade, coffee, and hot cocoa. Heated restrooms are available for changing.
Timing will be provided by Race Wizard and a results board will be onsite. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and top three in each age group. Organizers recommend carrying a phone on course in case assistance is needed. Volunteer roles include event setup, check in, aid stations, and course monitoring.
