Slidell Food & Fun Fest Races
The event takes place on October 24, 2026 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Slidell as part of the Slidell Food & Fun Fest weekend. The event weekend theme for 2026 is Oktoberfest.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 1 mile run/walk
All registered participants will be chip timed. Course distances are not certified. Registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. Standard registration fees listed are $22.00 for the 5K and $12.00 for the 1 mile. The 1 mile race welcomes runners and walkers. Children age 4 and under do not need to register; unregistered children will not receive a race bib, awards, or chip timing.
Organizers request that only participants likely to finish the 5K in 50 minutes or less register for that event to reduce public road closure time. The 5K and 1 mile events take place in the same time frame; a participant may not register for both events. Persons age 5 and over who are not registered are not considered race participants and will not be allowed on the courses during the races.
