Pelican Energy Run for Hope
The Pelican Energy Run for Hope takes place on October 31, 2026 at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA. This is the third annual edition of the event and it benefits the Children's Advocacy Center Hope House, an independent nonprofit that provides a path to recovery, a bridge to justice for victims of abuse, and community education aimed at ending the cycle of child abuse.
The event offers the following distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
Registration details by event are provided by the organizer; listed fees are $20.00 for the 1 Mile and $35.00 for the 5K. 5K registrants receive a race T-shirt, a custom finisher's medallion, post-race beer, and pre- and post-race snacks. 1 Mile participants receive a medal. Multiple vendors will be onsite offering free services, and the event includes Halloween-inspired activities for adults and children. Post-race beer is provided by Chafunkta Brewing Company and pre- and post-race refreshments are provided by Raising Canes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
