Slate Run Trail Race

Event
The Slate Run Trail Race offers two distance options:
- 25K
- Half Marathon
The event takes place in Slate Run, Pennsylvania, in Tiadaghton State Forest and uses sections of the Black Forest Trail.
Course
The course runs through the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run sections. The route includes technical single-track, stream crossings, and multiple vistas. Both distances share the same trail for the first 9 miles. At the Manor Fork camps, Half Marathon runners follow a road to the last aid station and then to the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along a streambed and climb Old Supply Trail.
Registration and cut-offs
Registration opens December 16, 2025 via UltraSignup and is limited to the first 250 runners/hikers or until May 18, whichever occurs first. The event policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. All participants must reach the mile-9 intersection at the Manor Fork cabins by 12:00 noon; runners who miss that cut-off will be directed onto the Half course. Half Marathon runners must also be through the Manor Camp intersection by 1:00 pm or they will be removed from the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
