Slate Run Trail Race
This is a trail running event in Slate Run, Pennsylvania, that offers two distance options and follows sections of the Black Forest Trail through Tiadaghton State Forest. The route passes through the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run section and features technical single track, stream crossings, and elevated viewpoints.
Both the 25K and Half Marathon courses follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps the courses separate: Half Marathon runners follow a road to the last aid station and then to the finish, while 25K runners continue on trail along the streambed and ascend Old Supply Trail. The nine-mile section has a cut-off of 12 noon; runners not through that point by then will be directed onto the Half course. Half Marathon runners must reach the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or they will be removed from the course. In 2025 all participants met the 1pm cut-off.
Registration opens December 16 at 8pm via UltraSignup and closes May 20 at 11:59pm ET, with a field limit of 250 runners or until the May 20 deadline, whichever comes first. The event policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no unregistered participants allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
