Slate Run Trail Race
The Slate Run Trail Race is a trail running event in Slate Run, Pennsylvania, organized by PA Trail Dogs and held on June 5, 2027. The course runs through the remote and rugged mountains of Tiadaghton State Forest, including the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail. Runners encounter technical single track, stream crossings, and scenic vistas.
Distances:
- 25K
- Half Marathon
Both distances follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps, half marathon runners follow the road to the final aid station and then to the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along a streambed and climb Old Supply Trail. The nine-mile section has a cut-off at 12 noon; after that point all participants will be redirected onto the half course. Half marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1 pm or they will be removed from the course.
Registration opens December 16, 2026 at 8:00 pm via UltraSignup. The field is limited to the first 225 runners and hikers or until May 20, whichever occurs first. Entry policies state no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
