Event overview
The Slate Run Trail Race is scheduled for June 6, 2026 in Slate Run, PA. It is the eighth annual running of the event. Two distances are offered:
- 25K
- Half Marathon
The race takes place in Tiadaghton State Forest and uses sections of the Black Forest Trail.
Course and cutoffs
The route runs through the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail. The terrain includes technical single-track, stream crossings, and scenic vistas. Both distances share the same trail for the first 9 miles. At the Manor Fork camps the half marathon runners follow a road to the final aid station and then to the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along a streambed and up Old Supply Trail. There is a strict cut-off at mile 9: runners must reach that intersection by 12:00 noon or will be directed onto the half course. Half marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1:00 pm or they will be removed from the course.
