Slate Run Trail Race 25K and Half Marathon
The event is the 8th annual Slate Run Trail Race held on June 6, 2026 in Slate Run, PA. It is a trail race set in the remote and rugged mountains of Tiadaghton State Forest that uses sections of the Black Forest Trail.
The course passes through the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run sections and includes technical single track, stream crossings, and scenic vistas. Both distances follow the same route for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps, half marathon runners leave the shared trail to follow a road to the final aid station and then the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along a streambed and then climb Old Supply Trail.
The nine mile shared section has a cut-off at 12 noon. This equals nine miles in three hours and includes one large hill while the remainder is described as runnable. Registration opened December 16, 2025 via Ultrasignup and the field is limited to the first 400 runners or until May 18, whichever occurs first. The event policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits.
