Slate Run Trail Race
The event is a trail running race in Slate Run, PA, organized by PA Trail Dogs. It takes place on trails in Tiadaghton State Forest and follows sections of the Black Forest Trail, including the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run. The course features technical single track, stream crossings, and notable vistas.
Distances offered:
- 25K
- Half Marathon (Slate Run Half)
Both distances follow the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps the half marathon route turns onto the road toward the last aid station and then the finish. 25K runners continue on trail, following a streambed and climbing Old Supply Trail. There is a strict cut-off for the nine mile section at 12 noon; runners who miss this cut-off are directed onto the half marathon course. Half marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1 pm or they will be removed from the course. In 2025 all participants reached the 1 pm cut-off.
Registration opens December 16, 2026 and the field is limited to the first 225 runners or until May 20, whichever comes first. The event policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no event transfers, and no unregistered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
