Slate Run Trail Race - June 5, 2027
The Slate Run Trail Race is an organized trail running event in Slate Run, Pennsylvania, managed by PA Trail Dogs. The event offers two distance options:
- 25K
- Half Marathon
The courses run through Tiadaghton State Forest, including the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail. The route includes technical single track, stream crossings, and elevated viewpoints.
Both distances share the same trail for the first nine miles. At the Manor Fork camps the half marathon course turns onto the road toward the final aid station and the finish. The 25K route continues on trail along a streambed and then up Old Supply Trail. The nine mile section has a cut-off of 12 noon; that section is described as nine miles in three hours with one large hill and mostly runnable terrain. After 12 noon all participants will be directed onto the half marathon course. Half marathon runners must pass the Manor Camp intersection by 1pm or they will be removed from the course. In 2025 all participants met the 1pm cut-off.
Registration opens December 16, 2026 at 8pm via UltraSignup. Entry is limited to the first 225 runners or until May 20, whichever occurs first. There are no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits. The event enforces the stated cut-offs with no exceptions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
