Skyway 5K
Skyway5k is a 5k held on February 27, 2027, that routes participants through the St. Paul skyway system. The event starts and finishes at Union Depot in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and passes by city landmarks as it moves through connected buildings and enclosed walkways.
Registration is managed through a third party, Race Roster, which handles transfers, refunds, and payments. The event is chip timed and uses multiple heats that are self organized by anticipated finishing time. Bib numbers are assigned at registration.
The course features stairs, turns, and changes in flooring as it navigates the indoor skyway network. It is designed to be ADA compliant and includes posted detours to elevators for participants who need them. Water stations and bathrooms are provided along the route, and spectator areas are noted on the course.
On race day the venue offers a complimentary coat and bag drop and a coat or shoe check. Participants receive a race bib with safety pins, a branded beanie or winter hat, and sponsor items; event T shirts are available for purchase. Children in strollers do not need to register and walkers are welcome. Multiple parking options exist near Union Depot, including street parking, ride share, and light rail.
