Skyline Scotland 2026

Skyline Scotland is a mountain and trail running event. It takes place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September 2026. The event arena is at Nevis Range, near Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.

Race Distances

The event offers seven different race routes.

Distances range from 5km to 100 miles, covering skyrunning, ultra, and trail race formats.

Event Facts

The event was established in 2015. It typically attracts over 2,000 participants from up to 50 countries each year. The event has previously featured in series such as the Skyrunning World Series and the Golden Trail World Series. In 2025, the Ben Nevis Skyline race was a Golden Trail World Series qualifier. The event has also hosted the Skyrunning World Championships.

The 2026 event will have an event village at Nevis Range. Planned features include live commentary, big screens, online tracking, local food and drink traders, a partner expo, a prize ceremony, and an evening party. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
