Salomon Skyline Scotland
Salomon Skyline Scotland began in 2015 with the Glen Coe Skyline. The event moved to Kinlochleven in 2016 and expanded to multiple races, at one point growing to nine events. It has featured in the Skyrunning World Series, Golden Trails World Series, and Spartan Trail and Ultra World Championships, and it hosted the Skyrunning World Championships in 2018. The event regularly attracts more than 2,000 participants from up to 50 countries and has generated millions of pounds of economic impact for the Lochaber region. After a short break the festival was relaunched in 2025.
The event planned for 18 - 20th September 2026 offers seven races ranging from 100 miles to 5 km, including:
- Skyline Scotland 100M
- Skyline Scotland 100K
- Grand Tour Of The Ben 50M
- Steall Ultra 50K
- Ben Nevis Skyline 30K
- Aonach Mòr Anarchy 20K
- Aonach Mòr Avalanche 4K
The festival includes an event village with a start and finish arena that features commentary, live stream and big screens. Additional on-site elements listed for the event are shake out runs, athlete panels, exhibits from outdoor brands, and various catering outlets. The Ben Nevis Skyline was selected as a 2025 Golden Trail World Series qualifier race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
