Aonach Mor Uphill 2026 (New Year) is scheduled for 1 January 2026 at Nevis Range Ski Centre, Torlundy, Fort William. The uphill race covers a distance of 4 km with a climb of 610 m. The event is organised by Lochaber AC and is limited to participants aged 18 or older. Entry fee is £15.00. Entries opened on 1 September 2025 and closed on 29 December 2025. The race is capped at 150 entries; entries so far are listed as 149 with 2 people on the waiting list and the event is shown as full.
Requirements and logistics
Full body cover must be carried or the competitor will not be allowed to run. Required kit includes a waterproof jacket with a hood and taped seams, waterproof overtrousers with taped seams, a warm hat or buff, and gloves or mitts. Kit checks will be carried out at registration and at the finish.
Racers and marshals will receive a soup and roll and tea or coffee at the Snowgoose Cafe on production of their race number. Competitors may send a bag of warm layers up the gondola for the finish; after the race participants may take the gondola down (free) or run down. If the gondola is not operating, an alternative out-and-back route to Tower 13 will be used and presentation will take place in the Pinemartin Café at the bottom station.
