Aonach Mor Uphill (New Year)

The Aonach Mor Uphill (New Year) is a challenging mountain race held at the Nevis Range Ski Centre in Torlundy, Fort William. Covering a distance of 4 km with a steep climb of 610 meters, the event attracts runners aged 18 and over. Participants must carry full body cover, including waterproof clothing and warm accessories, due to the demanding weather conditions.

The race starts at the bottom station and typically finishes at the top station, with an alternative route available if the gondola is not operating. After the race, runners and marshals enjoy refreshments at the Snowgoose Cafe. The event is capped at 150 entries and is organized by Lochaber AC.
