Sky View Falcon 5K Adventure Run
The Sky View Falcon 5K Adventure Run is a community-focused running and walking event held at Sky View Middle School in Bend, Oregon. This event features two distinct distances focused on participation and movement within the local school environment and outdoor spaces. The races are not officially timed.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K adventure run
- 1 Mile adventure run
The 5K course begins on the Sky View Middle School track and follows a route that circumnavigates the school campus and the adjacent Rockridge Park. The 1 Mile course also starts on the school track and stays within the boundaries of the school campus. Both routes include a hidden object element termed a "Falcon Hunt," where runners look for hidden falcons and animals placed along the course.
Registration fees include a t-shirt. The event is organized to support the Sky View PTSA, with proceeds contributing to teacher grants, student activities, school projects, and specific grade-level celebrations.
