Skeleton Trail Shuffle & Kids Dash
The Skeleton Trail Shuffle takes place at Friends Creek Conservation Area near 13734 Friends Creek Park Road, Cisco, Illinois. The event includes a trail 5K and a costumed kids dash on open meadow trail.

The course follows an old wagon trail through open meadows and dirt trails beneath the fall tree canopy, and includes a swaying bridge. The 5K is organized as a trail run; the kids dash is a half mile route on an open meadow trail.
Costumes are encouraged. An adult costume contest will award fun prizes. Every finisher of the kids dash receives a goody bag. The kids dash is open to ages 2 to 10 years.
Registration opens July 22, 2026. Early bird pricing for the 5K runs through September 30, 2026 at $35.00; prices increase to $40.00 from October 1 through October 31, 2026. Tot Trot registration fee is listed at $5.00; same day fees noted for the 5K are $40.00. The 5K registration deadline for shirt orders is October 10, 2026 and shirts must be claimed by November 7, 2026.
5K age groups are organized for male and female competitors, ranging from 12 and under through 80 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
