Six Days in the Dome runs June 18 to June 28, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI at 500 South 84th Street. The event takes place in a climate-controlled indoor venue with temperatures of 50-55 degrees and 30-35% relative humidity. The running surface is 12 millimeter Regupol Kombi. The course is USATF certified (WI14001DM) and the event is sanctioned by the IAU; it received a Bronze Label in its first year.
Race format and policies
The event offers multiple fixed-time race options: 10-Day, 6-Day, 72-Hour, 48-Hour, 24-Hour, and 12-Hour races. Results for each fixed-time category are consolidated across all days - for example, all 12-Hour results are combined into a single 12-Hour result, and similarly for 24-Hour, 48-Hour, and 72-Hour categories. An Invitational 48-Hour and two Invitational 24-Hour races are offered with a maximum of 25 entries per day; 20 entries are first-come, first-served and 5 entry slots are reserved by the race directors. Invitational entries target athletes with established performances (example benchmarks provided in the event materials). Registration closes June 27. Refund rules: refunds are available before April 1 (entry fees refunded less processing fees and sales taxes); partial refunds (50% of entry fees and 100% of other purchased items) are available until May 1; after May 1 there are no refunds.
