SISU 24 PNW
SISU 24 PNW is a 24 hour choose your own adventure trail event based at Camp Sheppard, just outside Mount Rainier National Park in Enumclaw, WA. The event is organized by Side Quest Adventures and includes camping on Friday and Saturday nights with on-site facilities such as showers, flush toilets, and running water.
Participants choose from six fully marked out and back trails, each offering different terrain and views. Trails range from approximately 3 to 19 miles. Runners leave from a central base camp, complete a trail, return to headquarters to check in, then decide what to do next. Some participants repeat routes; others combine trails, chase points, or pursue optional side quests.
The scoring system awards points for completed trails and gives higher value to trails finished earlier in the event, creating multiple strategic approaches. At the furthest point of each trail participants find a rubber stamp to mark their quest log; runners must check in and out at headquarters so staff can verify stamps and log points. Shortcuts are not permitted and any form of cheating results in a DNF.
Every participant receives a custom finisher award. Additional awards include top overall male and female, top teams, Master of Miles, and a SISU Spirit Award. Required gear includes a headlamp, hydration, water filtration or purification, food, and an ink pad for the quest log. Registration closes June 4.
