SISU 100 PNW - June 25, 2027
SISU 100 PNW is a self-supported 100-mile ultramarathon held near Enumclaw, WA, based at Camp Sheppard. The event uses six marked out-and-back mountain trails; each runner must complete every trail once before repeating any route. After the six required trails, which together total approximately 57.5 miles, participants repeat chosen trails until they reach 100 miles. Individual trail distances range from approximately 3 to 19 miles.
All routes return to basecamp between loops. Camp Sheppard provides a central HQ with water, electrolytes, snacks, showers, flushing toilets, medical support, and space for tents and crew. There are no aid stations on the trails, so runners are responsible for their own food, nutrition, hydration, and gear while on trail.
Course features include runnable forest roads, steep mountain climbs, waterfalls, ridgelines, and alpine views. Race rules require checking in and out at HQ before and after every trail, staying on marked trails, and completing any trail in its entirety. A trail may be repeated, but not more than twice in a row.
Every official finisher who reaches 100 miles before the event cutoff receives a custom SISU 100 belt buckle. Required gear includes a headlamp with extra batteries, hydration pack or bottles, water filtration or purification, food, visibility markers, a bear bell, navigation device, backup battery, and weather-appropriate clothing.
