SISU 100 PNW
The SISU 100 PNW is a 100-mile ultramarathon held in Enumclaw, Washington, based out of Camp Sheppard near Mount Rainier National Park. This event features a choose-your-own-adventure format where participants build their own route using six unique mountain trails.
The event structure requires runners to complete each of the six marked out-and-back trails once before any route can be repeated. These initial six trails total approximately 57.5 miles. Once this first set is finished, participants choose which trails to repeat to reach the 100-mile total. A rule is in place that no single trail can be completed more than twice in a row.
The six trail routes range from 3 to 19 miles in length. The terrain includes forest roads, steep mountain climbs, ridgelines, and areas with waterfalls and alpine views. Because all routes start and end at the Camp Sheppard basecamp, participants return to the main hub frequently. This allows access to personal gear, tents, food, showers, and flushing toilets throughout the event.

This is a self-supported event. While the organizers provide water, electrolytes, and some snacks at the basecamp headquarters, there are no aid stations located on the trails. Participants are responsible for their own nutrition and hydration while out on the course. Required gear includes a headlamp with extra batteries, a hydration system, water filtration, a bear bell, and a navigation device.
