Sir Titus March Mayhem
Sir Titus March Mayhem is a series of trail races held on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at the bottom of Victoria Road in Saltaire, next to the Boathouse Inn. The route uses canal towpaths in an out and back format on generally flat, good trail terrain with some uneven sections and occasional lock rises.
Distances on offer include:
- 10k
- 10 miles
- Half marathon
- 20 miles (two 10 mile laps)
- Marathon (two half marathon laps)
The course is marshalled and signed. Feed and drink stations are provided approximately every three miles; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle as events try to be cup free. There may be unmarshalled road crossings on route. Toilets are available canal side at the start and finish. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a range of treats.
Access is straightforward by public transport and car. Saltaire train station is a short walk from the start. Parking is available nearby but may be subject to council charges and local restrictions; additional parking is listed near Titus Salt School.
The event follows Trail Running Association licensing and UKA rules. A headphone policy requests low volume or bone conducting devices and advises against large over ear headphones. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
