Singing River 5K and 1 Mile Run
The 5th annual Singing River 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk takes place at McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama. This athletic event serves as a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting SHINE Inspiring Youth Mental Health and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The race attracts participants from across the southern United States and is held regardless of rain or sun.

The race course is a certified road route (AL04009JD). Participants start the run next to Pavilion 1, marked by red, white, and blue decorations. Every person who completes their respective distance receives a finisher medal. While the event allows for registration on the morning of the activity, pre-registration is used to determine quantities for event t-shirts.
Beyond the running activities, the event features a car show held at the park. General amenities provided during the event include food trucks, music, games, and snacks. An onsite award ceremony is held specifically for the 5K participants following the conclusion of that race. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue clothing to match the event theme. Package pickup is held on-site the morning of the event at McFarland Park.
