Simon's Surf City 5K Run/Walk
Simon's Surf City 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, April 24, 2027 in Surf City, New Jersey. The certified 5K course is flat and runs through town streets, starting and finishing at the Surf City Fire House, 713 Long Beach Boulevard. The event proceeds equally benefit the Foundation and the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department & EMS Co #1, both IRS 501(c)(3) organizations. The Foundation provides scholarships, recognitions, and hardship grants and supports other local charitable programs.
The event offers on-site and virtual options: in-person entries for older and younger age groups and a virtual anytime, anywhere 5K. Registration opens August 14, 2026; on-site adult registration has an earlier closing date than the youth and virtual options. Registration fees vary by category.
Race shirts are provided to participants who register by April 1, 2027. All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female finisher in each 10-year age group.
