34th Annual River to Bay 5K
The 34th Annual River to Bay 5K is scheduled as an in-person race on May 2, 2026, rain or shine. The event is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Toms River and uses a USATF certified course. Agreement to the USATF waiver is required for registration.
The event includes the following:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 1 Mile Health Walk
- 5K Run
- 5K Health Walk
- T-Shirt Only
The venue is 1 Wanamaker Municipal Complex, Island Heights, NJ 08732. Participation is limited to the first 750 entrants. Registrations are non-refundable. An early bird price reduction saves $10 for registrations completed by April 7, 2026; early bird registrants are guaranteed a race shirt in the correct size.
Proceeds benefit local youth and charitable organizations. Sponsorship opportunities are available with contribution levels ranging from $75 to $2,500. The 2025 event acknowledged corporate sponsors.
Awards are offered for both mile and 5K events. Mile awards include top three overall male and female and top two in youth age groups; all 1 mile fun run participants receive medals. 5K awards include top three overall male and female and top three in multiple age groups up to 80 and over.
