Event details
The 34th Annual River to Bay 5K is scheduled as an in-person race on Saturday, May 2, 2026, rain or shine. The event is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Toms River and uses a USATF certified course. Entry options for participants include:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 1 Mile Health Walk
- 5K Run
- 5K Health Walk
- T-Shirt Only
The event is limited to the first 750 participants. Early bird registrants by April 7, 2026 receive a $10 discount and are guaranteed a race shirt in the correct size. Race registrations are non-refundable. Sponsorship levels for the race range from $75 to $2,500. Proceeds benefit local youth and charitable organizations.

The race base is at the Wanamaker Municipal Complex in Island Heights, New Jersey (1 Wanamaker Municipal Complex, Island Heights, NJ 08732). Prices for individual events are listed on the official registration page. Awards are given with no duplicates: the mile events award the top finishers overall and age-group places, with medals for all 1 Mile Fun Run participants. The 5K awards include top overall finishers and age-group awards for multiple brackets through 80 and over. Sponsors for recent years include Vision Financial Services and Gateway Toyota.
