Callander 10K
Callander 10K takes place on 14 March 2027 at McLaren Leisure Centre in Callander. Distances offered include:
- 10K entry fee £27
- 1K fun run entry fee £7
The 10K route runs towards Loch Venachar with open views of the surrounding mountains, returns to Callander largely along an old railway line, and finishes with a riverside section beside the River Teith. About 8.5 km of the route is on tarmac and about 1.5 km is on compacted trail. There are two water stops at approximately 3 km and 8 km. The route will be marked with large yellow signs and marshals and medical staff will be positioned at key locations.
Age limits and categories are specified for each event. The 10K is open to participants aged 15 years and older on race day. The 1K is open to participants aged 5 years and older; children under 5 may run with adult supervision. The 10K uses electronic chip timing; the 1K is not chip timed. There is no overall cut off time, and participants may be asked to stop only for health or safety reasons.
Included with entry are a medal, water and refreshments at the finish, electronic timing for the 10K, medical provision, and free access to event photos. Facilities at the event hub include toilets, changing rooms, baggage drop and first aid. Public parking is available in Callander; there is no general parking at McLaren Leisure Centre except for disabled parking. The event supports It’s Good 2 Give and Canmore Trust.
