Callander 10K
The event is staged in Callander with the event hub at McLaren Leisure Centre. Runners follow a route out toward Loch Venachar, enjoy views of the surrounding mountains, and return on a largely flat section that uses an old railway line before a riverside approach to the finish alongside the River Teith.
Distances:
- 10K
- 1K Fun Run
The 10K uses electronic chip timing and is accurately timed; the 1K is not chip timed. Course wayfinding includes large yellow signs and marshals at key points. Route surfaces are approximately 8.5 km on tarmac and 1.5 km on compacted trail; road running shoes are recommended. There are two water stations on course at about 4 km and 6.5 km, and event medical provision is present on route and at the hub.
All finishers receive a medal and water at the finish. Race hydration is provided by Active Root and free event photos are available on the organiser’s site. Entry categories include male, female, non-binary and other, with prizes for top finishers subject to minimum entry numbers; age group awards are offered where minimum participation thresholds are met. The organiser welcomes disabled participants and requests contact before registering to discuss support needs. A contribution from each entry is donated to the charity It’s Good 2 Give.
