Callander 10K
The Callander 10K takes place in Callander with the event hub at McLaren Leisure Centre and a route that runs towards Loch Venachar in the Trossachs. The course offers views of the surrounding mountains, uses an old railway line for a flat return section, and finishes alongside the River Teith.
Distances:
- 10K – entry fee £28
- 1K Fun Run – entry fee £7
The 10K is accurately timed using chip timing; the 1K fun run is not chip timed. The route is fully marked with large yellow signs and will have marshals and medical staff at key locations. Route surface is approximately 8.5 km on tarmac and 1.5 km on compacted trail; road shoes are recommended. Two on-course water stations are provided at about 3 km and 8 km, stocked with water and sports drink.
Age limits are 15 years and over for the 10K, and 5 years and over for the 1K (under 5s may run with adult supervision). The event welcomes disabled participants and requests contact before registering so support needs can be discussed. Dogs are not permitted to take part in the races.
Included in the entry fee are a medal, finish refreshments, electronic timing for the 10K, medical provision, baggage drop, and free race photos. Public parking is available in Callander town centre; there is no general parking at the leisure centre. Prizes are planned for top finishers across male, female, non-binary and other categories and for age groups subject to minimum entry numbers. The event supports the charities It’s Good 2 Give and Canmore Trust. Refund, transfer and deferral policies apply with specific deadlines and a 10 percent admin fee for refunds within the allowed period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
