Event overview
The Silver Strand race day is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026 in Coronado, CA (5000 CA-75, Parking Lot 3). Registration opens November 7, 2025 and the race includes in-person and virtual options. Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 Mile
- 12K
- 5K
- Virtual Run
There are also Duo Racer entries for each distance marked as challenged athletes only, and separate enlisted / veterans and first responder categories for some distances. Listed entry prices include $61.31 for the Half Marathon and 10 Mile, $36.64 for the 12K, $23.77 for the 5K, and $81.69 for the Virtual Run. Age minimums are provided for each event (for example the Half Marathon is open to ages 16+ and the 5K is open to ages 3+).
Course, finish, features and beneficiaries
The course uses the closed Silver Strand Highway with the Pacific Ocean on the right and San Diego Bay on the left, running from Coronado toward Imperial Beach. All races finish at Silver Strand State Beach. On-site features listed include live drumming, DJs, live music, a live band at the finish and a beer garden.
