Silver Strand Half Marathon, 10 Miler, 12K and 5K
The event on Sunday, November 8, 2026 includes multiple running distances and a coastal course from Coronado toward Silver Strand State Beach. The route runs along the closed Silver Strand Highway and finishes on Silver Strand State Beach. The course is described as flat and fast with the Pacific Ocean on the right and San Diego Bay on the left.

All participants receive a Hawaiian button down shirt or Hawaiian dress with two design options available at packet pick up. Custom finisher medals are awarded for every distance and age group awards are provided. The event uses chip timing and issues bibs. Live entertainment appears along the course and at the finish, where there are finish line treats and a beach party atmosphere with a live band and a beer garden operated by event partners. The event supports several charities including Life Sports Foundation, Team Hoyt, Islander Sports Foundation and Stop Soldier Suicide. Special discounted pricing is available for active military, veterans, and certain first responders with valid identification.
