2026 Silver Strand Half Marathon, 10 Miler, 12K & 5K

The event takes place on November 8, 2026, in Coronado, California. Races run along the closed Silver Strand Highway 79 from Coronado to Imperial Beach and finish at Silver Strand State Beach. The course is described as flat, with the Pacific Ocean on the right and San Diego Bay on the left.

Several events list minimum age limits: the Half Marathon and 10 Mile are open to ages 16 and older (10 Mile enlisted option lists 18+), the 12K is open to ages 13 and older, and the 5K is open to ages 3 and older.

Race features and beneficiaries

The event uses chip timing and provides a bib. Participants receive a Hawaiian shirt or dress option as race swag and a surfboard finisher medal. There are age group awards, finish line treats, live music along the course (including drummers and a DJ), a live band at the finish, and a beer garden operated by Seek Beer Co. KOZ Events produces the race for the benefit of the Life Sports Foundation; the event also supports Team Hoyt and the Islander Sports Foundation.
