Silent Pool 10km
The Silent Pool 10km is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Silent Pool Car Park in Albury, near Guildford. Scheduled dates include 24 September 2025, 3 March 2026, and 10 September 2026. The route distance is 10 km and the stated cost is £16 per person. A car park is available at the meeting point. Terms and conditions apply.
Route and logistics
The route uses local trails including sections of the North Downs Way, the forest of Netley Heath, and a descent into the village of Shere, passing several film locations. The terrain includes wide trails and single-track sections. Runs are guided by an experienced trail runner who is a qualified guide and coach.
This is a group run rather than a race. Participants should be able to maintain an average pace of 10 min/mile (about 6 min/km) on trail for prolonged periods and have a suitable level of fitness. A full kit list will be provided before the run; Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes are available to trial. Sunset sessions occur in lighter months and night sessions require a headtorch and are run in a group. A non-alcoholic beer may be offered at the end of the run, subject to availability.
