About the race
The MTC Richmond Ultra is a 33-mile point-to-point ultramarathon along the River Thames from Travelodge Kingston to the Thames Barrier. Runners pass historic riverside landmarks such as Richmond Lock and Kew Palace, crossing a string of iconic London bridges including Chiswick, Hammersmith, Putney, Chelsea, Vauxhall, London, and Tower Bridges, finishing at the Thames Barrier. The route covers about 105m of ascent and 109m of descent, with two aid checkpoints offering water and snacks.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a Mount to Coast head scarf, while top finishers earn bespoke trophies. The event emphasizes self-sufficiency and a supportive, festival-like atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
