Sidewalk Shuffle 5K
The Sidewalk Shuffle 5K takes place on July 8, 2026 at the Lakewalk near Endion Station in Duluth, Minnesota. The event address is 200 Lake Place Dr, Duluth, MN 55802.
The course is an out and back route that heads east along the Lakewalk shoreline and returns to the start at Endion Station. The event includes a single race distance of 5K.
Participants must be age 6 and older. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Participants are asked to position themselves at the starting line according to how they plan to complete the course: runners toward the front and walkers, shufflers, or rollers toward the middle or back.
Registration opens April 8, 2026 and closes June 8, 2026. The registration fee is $38.00. The deadline for a guaranteed event tee shirt has passed; organizers will attempt to provide shirts but they are no longer guaranteed. The YMCA suggests parking in nearby ramps and walking to the start. Free parking validation is available for participants with a bib for the Holiday Inn Ramp or 4th Avenue Auto Park and can be obtained at the welcome table.
Awards include first place youth (6-12) male and female, first place teen (13-17) male and female, first through third place adult (18+) male and female, and team awards for male, female, and coed teams. Team scoring is based on the four fastest finishers. Coed teams must include at least two people of the opposite gender and teams may have up to five shufflers. Results will be posted on the Duluth YMCA website, Northland Runner, and Duluth Timing and Events. The YMCA may cancel or alter the event for dangerous weather, including severe thunderstorms with lightning; there are no refunds or credits if the race is canceled. Event cancellation decisions are made by YMCA directors and participants will be notified by email, the Duluth Area Family YMCA website, and social media.
