Sid Valley Ring Half Marathon
The Sid Valley Ring Half Marathon is an annual running event held in the scenic Sid Valley area, following the newly established Sid Valley Ring walking route. The course features an uphill start, traversing quiet country lanes, footpaths, and climbs up to 236 meters before descending into picturesque villages like Sidbury and Salcombe Regis. Runners enjoy stunning coastal views across Lyme Bay, including sights of Portland and Berry Head.
The event includes a fully marked course, multiple aid stations, first aid cover, and a unique solid oak coaster finisher’s medal. In 2026, a new Sid Valley Ring Third Marathon option was introduced, combining river and trail sections for a 13.5 km challenge. The race welcomes both runners and walkers.
