Sid Valley Ring Half and Third Marathon : 9 May 2026
The Sid Valley Ring event takes place on Saturday 9th May 2026 at The Ham Recreation Field. It returns for a sixth year and follows the Sid Valley Ring walking route. The organiser is Climb South West Ltd. Entries open 27 May 2025 and close 7 May 2026. Entry fees listed are: Half Marathon £38.50 and Third Marathon £27.50. A portion of each entry fee will be donated to trail maintenance.

- Half Marathon - 22km
- Third Marathon - 13.5km
The route starts with an uphill section and reaches a high point of 236 m. It uses quiet country lanes, footpaths, back lanes and sections of coast path. The course passes the villages of Sidbury and Salcombe Regis, the hamlet of Harcombe, Dunscombe cliffs and finishes with a downhill section to Sidmouth. There are views across Lyme Bay, including Portland and Berry Head. The course will be fully marked. Aid stations are provided (two on the Half Marathon, one on the Third Marathon). The event includes first aid cover, and all finishers receive a solid oak Sid Valley Ring coaster. The organiser notes mud and multiple hills on the route. The event is open to runners and walkers.
