Crediton Crunch 10K : 2026
The Crediton Crunch is an approximately 10 km multi terrain run near Crediton, Devon. The route is about 90% off road and uses public footpaths, mowed grassland, private farmland and quiet country roads. The course is partly on private land and is not accessible before race day.
Race headquarters is at Queen Elizabeth School, Barnfield Site, Crediton EX17 3HX, where competitors collect race numbers and may use a bag drop. Limited parking is available at the school; additional public car parks in Crediton are listed for competitors. The event is part of the INSTEP Devon race series. Minimum entry age is 18.
The marked route starts with a lap of the school fields, follows Stoneypark Lane and a series of footpaths and fields, crosses a bridge over the railway line, runs alongside the River Yeo and passes through hamlets such as Salmonhutch and Uton Barton. The course includes country lanes, a crossing at Folly Bridge, public footpaths over several fields and an ascent up Breakheart hill before returning to the school finish. Direction arrows and kilometre distance markers will be in place and marshals will be positioned around the course.
Prizes are awarded for the top three men and women and for veteran age categories (V40, V50, V60, V70 plus). Each participant receives a race medal and goody bag; spot prizes and a memorial trophy for best outfit are also planned. There will be a water station at 5 km and at the finish; the event is cup less so competitors should bring their own bottles or cups. Headphones are not permitted and trail shoes are recommended for potentially muddy sections. Race entry fees are listed for UKA members and non-members, and transfers are allowed via the event entry system up to 10/09/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
