The course follows school fields before joining local lanes and footpaths, crosses the Tarka Line by bridge, runs beside the River Yeo and passes through small hamlets and farmland. The route includes a climb known as Breakheart hill and finishes back on the school field. Some parts of the course are on private land and are not open before race day.
