Shropshire Triathlon
Shropshire Triathlon takes place at The Mere, Cremorne Gardens, Ellesmere, Shropshire SY12 0PA on Saturday 19 June 2027. The event shares its venue and weekend with The Ultimate Triathlon 150, 100 & 50 and includes individual and relay formats.
The race uses an open water swim in The Mere, a countryside bike route on smooth tarmac through Shropshire and Welsh countryside, and a fully closed-to-traffic, flat tarmac run course. Registration, swim start, transition and the finish area are all close together. The venue has received the Green Flag Award for 13 consecutive years. Event services include an official photographer, finishers medals for all competitors, and limited free onsite camping.
Relay teams can consist of two or three people. Each team member completes one or two disciplines and passes an electronic chip in the transition area. Wetsuit rules differ by distance: wetsuits are compulsory for the Olympic distance and recommended, but not compulsory, for the Sprint distance.

- Olympic individual: 1.5km swim, 39km cycle, 10km run. Minimum age 17.
- Sprint individual: 750m swim, 25km cycle, 5km run. Minimum age 16.
- Super Sprint individual: 200m swim, 25km cycle, 2.5km run. Minimum age 16.
