Shore to Shorecrest 5K
The Shore to Shorecrest 5K is an annual community event that marks the connection between the original Shorecrest Outdoor School (founded in 1923) and the current Shorecrest campus (established in 1967), located about 3.1 miles apart. The course is a point to point route with the start at Flora Wylie Park, 1400 N Shore Dr NE, Saint Petersburg, FL 33704, and the finish at Shorecrest Campus, 5101 1st St NE, St Petersburg, FL 33703.
Distances offered:
- 5K in-person, students only, and virtual options
- 400 m Sparky Sprint for children 8 years and younger
Registration fees differ by entry type: general 5K, student 5K, virtual 5K, and the Sparky Sprint have separate fees listed. T-shirt size requests received after October 2, 2026 cannot be guaranteed.
Packet pickup is at the Shorecrest Athletic Center Jacobson Lobby on Wednesday, November 4 and Thursday, November 5, during afternoon pickup windows. Participants under 18 must have an adult present to pick up their packet.
On event day there will be no shuttle service. Parking at the start and on campus is limited and available on a first come, first served basis at specified lots; ride sharing and carpooling are recommended. A coffee vendor will be on site and a warm up is led by The Athleticus. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome; pets, bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, wagons and similar wheeled items are not permitted on the course or campus.
A post event Wellness Village on Gaffney Green outside Charger Commons runs 8:30 to 11:00 with complimentary coffee and breakfast and vendor activities for families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
