Shore 2 The Pour Beach Run
This event is a roughly 3 Miles running race hosted by Two Roads Brewing Company at Stratford Point and nearby park areas. The course uses town roads and a park driveway for the early sections, a hard packed grass perimeter path through the Audubon grounds of about 0.7 miles, a grass and gravel trail segment called the Two Roads Trail, and a final stretch run entirely on sand along the water. The finish area is on sand and hard packed grass near the pavilion.
Chip timing records each participant as they cross the finish line. Finishers receive a medal and a text message or email with their finishing time. There is a water stop shortly after the halfway point inside the Audubon grounds; participants are also encouraged to carry water in warm conditions.
The entry fee is $45 and includes a race T shirt, a medal and two beers. Spots are limited and there is no day of registration. Registering by August 1 guarantees a shirt size; after that date shirts may be limited. Check in is available the day before at Two Roads and on race morning at Short Beach pavilion.
A free kids fun run takes place shortly after the main race on the beach. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times and receive a participation medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
