Shoes 'N Brews 26.2 KM "Metric Marathon"
The event is a metric marathon and relay held in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, using the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT). The point to point course starts near the Conshohocken Brewing Company and finishes under the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville. The field is limited to 200 runners because of Montgomery County restrictions.
Event formats include:
- Shoes 'N Brews 26.2 KM Metric Marathon (about 16.3 miles)
- Two member relay team with legs of 9 miles and 7.2 miles
- Spectator ticket option for the post race buffet
Support along the course includes water stations at approximately miles 4, 6, 9, 11.5, and 14. The relay exchange is located at mile 9 where the SRT passes under route 422 near the Betzwood parking area; there is a short detour to restrooms at the Betzwood parking area and restrooms at Reynolds Dog Park in Phoenixville near mile 14. Bib pickup is on site at the Conshohocken Brewing Company taproom. Shuttle trips from Phoenixville back to Conshohocken are available for purchase when registering.
All runners receive an artist designed finishers medal and a race shirt; shirts are guaranteed for those registered by September 12. Awards are given to overall top three men and women and to top three in listed age groups, plus awards for top relay teams. A post race buffet at the Rec Room in Phoenixville is included for registered runners; spectator buffet tickets may be purchased separately.
