SHOC Sunset Run & Walk
SHOC Sunset Run & Walk is an evening community event at Tualatin Community Park on August 1, 2026. The event offers timed and untimed options along marked courses and includes a finish-line celebration with music, local vendors, and beverages.
Available distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10K two person relay
- Free 1K walk for kids and parents
All 5K and 10K participants receive a medal and a t-shirt. Strollers are permitted on the 5K course. Local food trucks will offer food for purchase during the event. Packet pickup information is listed as forthcoming.
The event is organized by the SHOC Foundation, a 100 percent volunteer operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Portland. The foundation focuses on funding ovarian cancer research, raising awareness to support early detection and prevention, and providing resources for survivors. The foundation has directed over $1.475 million to ovarian and gynecologic cancer research to date.
