Age group awards are given in these categories: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-69, and 70 & up. First-place male and female in each age group for the 5k and 10 mile receive a small bonsai plant kit. The virtual run option does not receive age group awards.
Logistics and participant benefits
Participants receive a finisher medal, a t-shirt, pancake breakfast, and free entry to the Shinzen Garden. Early packet pickup is offered at The Bike Shop at Woodward (9433 N Fort Washington Rd). The race starts outside the main gate of the Group Activity Area, just north of the Shinzen Garden, and finishes inside the Group Activity Area. Awards are distributed as grab-and-go near the finish line.
Volunteers earn a free run or discounts on multisport events, plus breakfast and a t-shirt; volunteer codes are transferable. Sponsors include timing and event-service organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
