Shinzen Run/Walk
Shinzen Run/Walk takes place on May 17, 2026 at Woodward Park - Group Activity Area, 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA 93720. The event began more than 35 years ago under the direction of its original director. Proceeds benefit the Shinzen Garden in memory of that director.
The event includes multiple participation options:
- 10 Mile Run
- 5k Run/Walk
- 2 Mile Run/Walk
- Breakfast & Garden Only (0.0k)
- Run Anywhere (virtual)
In-person participants receive a finisher medal, a T-shirt, a pancake breakfast, free entry to the Shinzen Garden, and a custom bib. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal and a custom bib. Virtual run packets can be picked up or mailed for an additional shipping fee.
Age group awards are offered in these categories: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. A small bonzai plant kit is awarded to first place male and first place female in each age group for the 5k and the 10 Mile. The virtual option does not include age group awards.
