Shinzen Run/Walk : May 2026, Fresno, CA
The Shinzen Run/Walk is a community event in May 2026 held at Woodward Park - Group Activity Area, 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA 93720. The event began over 35 years ago and supports the Shinzen Garden. Proceeds will benefit the Shinzen Garden in memory of a former director.

Participants receive a finisher medal, a t-shirt, pancake breakfast, and free entry to the Shinzen Garden. Age group awards are offered in these categories: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-69, and 70 & up. A small bonsai plant kit is awarded to 1st place male and female in each age group for the 5k and the 10 mile. The virtual Run Anywhere option does not have age group awards. Non-runners and guests can purchase the breakfast and garden option for a separate fee.
Early packet pickup is available at The Bike Shop @ Woodward (9433 N Fort Washington Rd). The race start is located just outside the main gate of the Group Activity Area, north of the Shinzen Garden, and the finish is inside the Group Activity Area. Volunteers receive event benefits such as a free run or discounts and event items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
