LUCHA RUN in Fresno
LUCHA RUN is a multi-event community running and festival event held at Fresno City College, 1101 East University Ave, Fresno, CA 93741. The event includes adult and youth running and walking options plus a post-event Lucha Libre wrestling show and food offerings.
The event features participant amenities such as a long sleeve technical shirt, a finisher medal, and food at the finish including tacos, hot chocolate, and pan dulce. Awards include overall and age group prizes for the 6K, specialty Athena and Clydesdale divisions, custom coffee mugs for top finishers, and cash awards for top male and female, the largest team, and the fastest team. Kids races are organized by age with very short distances for the youngest participants.
The course begins and ends at the Fresno City College Veterans Peace Memorial area and is described as flat. The main distances are the 6K and a 3K 2 mile option; the 6K is run as two loops of a 2 mile course. Additional participation options include kids races and food and live lucha attendance without a run.
