Event Details
The Sherrill Fireworks Run honors the memory of Dwight L. Evans, a former mayor and lifelong resident of Sherrill. He was instrumental in establishing the Sherrill Gazebo, a community venue since 1989, and organized the first fireworks display there.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Sherrill Kenwood Library and the greater VVS community.
Additional Information
The event takes place at the Gazebo area at 377 Sherrill Road, within Reilly-Mumford Memorial Park. The 5K awards ceremony is held at the Gazebo after the race. There is post-race food in the Gazebo parking lot area. Bib and shirt pickup is available both the day before the race and on race morning at the park.
Registration is conducted online only; paper or cash payments are not accepted. The event is a member of the 2026 Route 20 Road Challenge series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
