Event overview
The Sherrill Fireworks Run is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Sherrill, New York, at the Gazebo area of Reilly-Mumford Memorial Park (377 Sherrill Road). The event is held in memory of a former mayor of Sherrill who organized the first gazebo fireworks display. Proceeds from the Fireworks Run will benefit the Sherrill Kenwood Library and the greater VVS community. The event is part of the 2026 Route 20 Road Challenge Series.

Logistics and awards
Registration for both events opens February 16, 2026, and is online only; no paper or cash registration is accepted. The Kids Fun Run is free; a youth shirt is available for purchase. The 5K has a tiered entry fee schedule that increases closer to race day. Bib and shirt pickup is offered before the event and on race day at the Gazebo area of Reilly-Mumford Memorial Park.
Awards include overall male and female winners and the top three males and females in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Post-race snacks and an awards ceremony are planned at the Gazebo parking lot area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
