Events
The event consists of three separate races:
- Hot Diggity Dog 5k (5 km)
- Hot Diggity Dog 5k - Run Relish Repeat Challenge
- Mustard Mile (1 mile)
Course and Features
The routes use scenic camp trails and paved roads within the grounds of the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center in Augusta, Michigan. The course is closed to traffic. All races finish with free hot dogs and refreshments.
The unique Run Relish Repeat Challenge is a variation of the 5k where participants eat a hot dog after each of the first three miles before sprinting to the finish. Completing this challenge awards a special medal. Registration for this specific challenge is limited to 75 participants.
Registration and Fees
- Hot Diggity Dog 5k: Individual registration is $20. This includes a race bib, an official event t-shirt, and post-race refreshments.
- Run Relish Repeat Challenge: Individual registration is $20 and includes the same items as the standard 5k, plus the challenge medal upon completion.
- Mustard Mile: Individual registration is $5. This includes a bib and post-race refreshments, but not a t-shirt (available for separate purchase for $10).
A $5 discount per participant applies for families of three or more registering together. Children aged 5 and under can participate for free in all events. Online registration remains open until the race start.
Participants must register by May 12 to guarantee a t-shirt; a limited number will be available on a first-come, first-served basis after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
