Shenipsit Striders Summer Fatass : Tolland, CT : August 15, 2026
The Shenipsit Striders Summer Fatass is an eight hour running event held at Crandall's Pavilion in Tolland, Connecticut on August 15, 2026. The event is organized by the Shenipsit Striders and is free to attend; a donation jar will be available. Registration closes on Fri, Aug 14 at 11:59 PM ET.
Participants run as many laps as they wish on a marked trail course. The route is described as a 5K-ish trail loop with the start and finish at the pavilion. Runners are expected to complete roughly 3-mile loops during the eight hour period. A GPX file and course map are provided for the loop.
On-site food and beverages are part of the event. Pancakes are provided in the morning, with burgers, hot dogs, and drinks available during the day. The event also incorporates a potluck; organizers use a signup process to coordinate snacks, desserts, and dishes.
