Event Details
The Shenipsit Striders Summer Fatass is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026. The event will take place at the Pavilion at Crandall's Park on 120 Cider Mill Rd in Tolland, Connecticut. The format involves running on a marked trail course over an 8-hour period. The event is part of the club's 50th-anniversary celebrations.
Activities and Format
Participants can run a marked 5K loop as many or as few times as they wish during the event window. For each loop completed, a runner receives a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes, which can include free race entries and club merchandise. Additional raffle tickets can be earned by finding hidden items along the course. The event is a potluck, so attendees are encouraged to bring food or drinks to share; some grilled items will also be provided. Everyone who registers and runs at least one loop will receive a 50th-anniversary commemorative gift.
The Organizing Club
