Shelton Stampede 4th of July Run 2026
The Shelton Stampede is presented as the 17th annual community running event in Shelton, NE, held at 500 S Coady St. The event offers multiple race options, including:
- 5K
- 1 mile
- Virtual race
The 5K course is USATF certified and certification documents are available. Training resources are offered through the founder’s website. Common Ground Coffee is noted as a returning vendor.
Each race registrant receives one free raffle entry; additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets. Check-in and same-day registration are provided on race day. All-time results and top performance lists are maintained for the event.
Awards are specified for each distance. For the 5K, the top three overall male and female finishers receive trophies only; age group medals are awarded to the top male and female in the following divisions: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. For the 1 mile, medals are awarded by age and gender with defined placement levels for 10 and under, 11 to 14, and 15 and over.
Proceeds support the Shelton Cross Country and Track and Field Teams and are intended to fund equipment and facility improvements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
