Shelton Stampede 4th of July Run - Shelton, NE
The Shelton Stampede takes place on July 4, 2026 in Shelton, NE and marks the event's 17th year. The event includes a short distance race and a 5K; Common Ground Coffee will be present again.

Awards for the 5K include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers; those overall finishers do not receive age group medals. Age group medals for the 5K are awarded to the top male and female in these divisions: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus. The 1-mile race awards medals by age: 10 and under (top three males and top three females), 11–14 (top three males and top three females), and 15 and over (top two males and top two females).
Each race registrant receives one free raffle entry; additional tickets are available for purchase at the stated prices of $1 for one ticket and $5 for six tickets. Registration includes check-in and same-day registration with walk-ups welcome. Proceeds support the Shelton Cross Country and Track and Field Teams, with funds planned for pole vault poles and upgrades to the crow's nest and concession area.
