Shelton Stampede 4th of July Run - Shelton, NE
The Shelton Stampede is an annual road race held on July 4, 2027 in Shelton, Nebraska at 500 S Coady St. The event marks the 18th edition and includes both a 5K and a 1-mile race. The 5K course is USATF certified and certification documents are provided.
Check-in and same-day registration are available and walk-ups are welcome. Training resources and plans are offered through the organizer's Bulldog Endurance website. A raffle accompanies the event: each registrant receives one free raffle entry and additional tickets may be purchased for $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets.
Awards for the 5K include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers; those top three are excluded from age group medals. Age group medals for the 5K are awarded to the top male and top female in the following divisions: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The 1-mile race awards medals as follows: 10 & Under top three males and top three females, 11-14 top three males and top three females, and 15 & Over top two males and top two females.
Event proceeds support the Shelton Cross Country and Track & Field teams, with funds intended for equipment purchases and facility upgrades. Common Ground Coffee will be present at the event.
