Olympiad 5K Run & 1.5 Mile Walk
The event takes place June 27, 2026 at The Archway, 3060 East 1st St., Kearney, NE 68847. It includes multiple running and walking options on paved roads and trails located on both sides of the Archway.
Distances offered:
- 5K timed run with professional chip timing
- 1.5 Mile untimed walk on a separate paved trail
- 5K Community Olympics timed community 5K, no fee
Registration is available online only. General entry for the primary 5K and the 1.5 Mile walk carries a $20 fee; the Community 5K is free. The organizer offers a commemorative T-shirt for registrations completed by June 18.
The 5K course is a 3.1 mile loop using paved roads and a trail west of the Archway. The 1.5 Mile route follows a paved trail east of the Archway. The primary 5K is professionally chip-timed.
Awards are given to first, second and third place finishers in each age division. Age divisions are: 13 and under, 14 to 17, 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus.
