Event Overview
The Sheffield 10K is a road running event staged in partnership with Sheffield City Council, taking place in the city centre. The event is known for enthusiastic local support. Thousands of participants took part in 2023.
Participation Details
The event is open to entrants aged 15 years or over on the day. Entry includes chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, an exclusive medal, and the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. The event organisers state they encourage people of all abilities to take part.
On the Day Information
The start line is on Arundel Gate. An Event Village provides food and drink for purchase. Facilities include a baggage store, toilets, and medical support. Water stations are provided on the course, and friendly pacers are available to help runners. Post-race, a sports massage is offered. Official event photographers are present on the course.
Sustainability
The event promotes environmental responsibility. Recycling bins are provided at water stations, and a partnership with JogOn allows runners to recycle old trainers at drop-off stations in the Event Village.

Multiple travel options are suggested. Park and Ride locations are recommended for those coming by car, with several city centre car parks listed. Local bus services, train services to Sheffield station, and bicycle parking facilities are also available. Road closures will be in effect for the event.
