Sheffield 10K : event information
The Sheffield 10K is a city-centre road race staged in partnership with Sheffield City Council. The event distance is 10 km. Entrants must be 15 years or over on race day.
Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal and an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. Race numbers and Race Office arrangements will be confirmed in the week before the event. Race numbers will not be posted to overseas postal addresses; overseas participants should collect numbers from the Race Office or provide a UK address in advance.
On-course support includes water stations supplying 330 ml bottles, recycling bins at each water station, pacers carrying flags with target finish times and medical personnel stationed at regular intervals with fixed first aid points near water stations. A first aid unit and recovery area are located close to the start and finish.
The Event Village offers food and drink for purchase, partner charities, photography by MarathonPhotos and post-race massage services. Baggage can be left in the designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip from the race number. Toilets are provided around the stadium and a zero-tolerance policy applies to public urination.
Sustainability measures include on-course recycling and JogOn shoe drop-off next to the Race Office. Bone-conducting headphones may be used if volume is kept low so runners can hear marshals and emergency vehicles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
