Event overview

SHEastern States Weekend is a women’s running camp held in Lock Haven, PA, over four days from April 30 to May 3, 2026. The program focuses on guided trail runs on sections of the Eastern States course and includes lodging, meals, and group activities at the lodge. Registration fee is $100 and space is limited to 30 participants. Registration opens January 4, 2026.

Schedule and routes

The weekend includes multiple runs and evening activities at the lodge. Planned runs and approximate distances are:

  • 5.5 mi optional Thursday night run
  • 13.7 mi Friday run
  • 20.4 mi Saturday run
  • 10 mi or 3.8 mi Sunday run options

Routes this year cover over 50 miles of the Eastern States course and pass through aid stations numbered 3-5, 7-10, and 14 to the finish. Elevation changes are provided for each route; examples include +3507 ft/-2327 ft on Friday and +4643 ft/-4703 ft on Saturday. Aid stops are planned on Friday and Saturday routes. Three pacing groups - Back, Mid, Front - will start in that order, each with a lead and sweep.

Accommodation

Participants stay at Ponderosa Lodge & Golf on 235 acres. The lodge offers nine bedrooms, five bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, common areas, and recreational amenities. Bedding must be brought by participants. The lodge requests no alcohol on the premises. Eastern States 100 covers lodging for the weekend.

Required gear and navigation

Required items include a pack or belt, at least 1 liter of hydration, fuel plus one hour extra, extra warmth, and recommended emergency blanket. Night-run participants must carry a dedicated light source (cell phone flashlight does not count). Organizers provide .gpx files for each route and can supply hard-copy maps.
