Shea's Chase began to promote mental wellness through movement and conversation and continues to support mental health services and raise awareness about suicide. The event is held at Revolution Mill, Textile Drive, Greensboro, and the 5K course begins and ends at Revolution Mill.
The program includes in-person and virtual options and a shorter fun run. Registration opens May 20, 2026. Most in-person categories have a registration deadline of July 12, 2026; the virtual option closes September 25, 2026. Registrations after September 4, 2026, are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

Published registration fees include a general entry fee of $25.00, discounted $20.00 entries for college students, veterans and active duty military, first responders, and participants 17 years and under, and a $15.00 fee for the 1-mile fun run.
