She Tris Sprint Triathlon - Chapel Hill (NC)

She Tris Sprint Triathlon in Chapel Hill is an all-women multisport event hosted at the UNC Wellness Center - Meadowmont, 100 Sprunt Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. The on-site swim takes place in the center’s five-lane pool; swimmers enter and exit through separate doors, self-seed by ability, and volunteers assist with swim line-up. A swim cap is provided on request. The transition area is located in the parking lot outside the pool.

The bike course begins on Meadowmont Lane and follows Sprunt Street through the streets of Meadowmont, continuing via Pinehurst Drive toward Ephesus Church Road, then Pope Road, Old Chapel Hill Road, Farrington Road, and Route 54. The route includes hills and sharp turns. The run is an out-and-back course that starts and finishes on a greenway and passes through residential streets of Meadowmont. Aid is available at both ends of the run course.

Event options include individual triathlon, relay teams (two or three members), aquathlon (swim and run), duathlon (run, bike, run), and virtual versions of triathlon, aquathlon, and duathlon. Virtual participants may complete distances anywhere in October, upload times for results (virtual times are not eligible for awards), and may pick up packets locally or receive them by mail in October.

Participants receive a training plan, clinics, group training support, a swim cap, a shirt, finish line photos, a finish line party, and a finisher keepsake. Minimum age for youth participants is 10 years old on 12/31/2026.
