She Slays

She Slays is an annual, women-centric running event held in Hendersonville, North Carolina, with proceeds supporting local women fighting cancer. The event centers on a professionally chip-timed 5K that starts and finishes at the Pardee Cancer Center and follows a route through historic neighborhood streets. Awards and prizes are given to top finishers, and a commemorative finisher medal is offered to the first 750 participants. Registration includes a commemorative race shirt for those who meet the organizer's deadline; shirts are available for purchase afterward.

The event includes support features and participation options: a virtual race option with mailed swag for remote entrants, stroller-friendly routes, and permission for well-behaved, leashed dogs. Yard signs honoring or memorializing someone affected by cancer are sold and displayed along a "Memory Mile" on the course; proceeds benefit the Pardee Hospital Foundation. Bike parking is available for local attendees. Presenting partners include Hunter Subaru and the Pardee Hospital Foundation, and the event partners with the Women Helping Women fund, which provides diagnostic and financial assistance for women’s medical needs.

Race operations include timing with a bib-mounted chip system and timing mats on the course. Transfer and cancellation policies allow conversion to the virtual option under specified conditions; refunds are not provided in most circumstances.
