3rd Annual She Slays 5K
The She Slays event is an annual running and walking competition held in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The event is organized in partnership with the Pardee Hospital Foundation’s Women Helping Women and Hunter Subaru. The race starts and finishes at the Pardee Cancer Center and supports local women receiving treatment for cancer.
Participants can choose from two main participation options:
- In-Person 5k
- Virtual 5k
The in-person race follows a 5 km (approx. 3.1 miles) course through the local area, with a course cutoff set for 10:00 AM. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option allows participants to record their own results on a course of their choice.
Registered participants receive several event items, including a finisher medal for the first 750 sign-ups and a themed event t-shirt for those who register by the late March deadline. The event also features a "Memory Mile" where yard signs can be placed along the course to honor or remember individuals affected by cancer.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday prior to the race at the Pardee Cancer Center, as well as on the morning of the event. Registration is open to all ages, with specific discounted rates available for children aged 12 and under. An awards ceremony is held following the conclusion of the race to recognize top performers.
