She Slays 5K - Hendersonville, NC
She Slays is the third annual women focused 5K presented with Pardee Hospital Foundation & Hunter Subaru on April 24, 2027. The event centers on celebrating the strength and courage of women fighting cancer and raises funds to support Hendersonville women facing cancer. Participation is open to everyone and includes in person and virtual options.
The 5K (3.1 miles) course starts and finishes at the Pardee Cancer Center and follows historic streets through neighborhood areas. The race is professionally chip timed with awards and prizes for top finishers. MyLaps timing chips and timing mats are used. Bike parking is available for local participants. The course is stroller friendly and well behaved, leashed dogs are allowed; stroller users are asked to start toward the back unless competing up front.
Registrations made by March 29 receive a free commemorative race shirt; after that shirts are available for $20 in limited sizes. The first 750 participants receive a custom finisher medal. Virtual participants receive race apparel and finisher items by mail.
Proceeds benefit the Pardee Hospital Foundation and the Women Helping Women fund, which provides supplementary medical support such as diagnostic mammograms, lab tests, MRIs, CT scans, biopsies, ultrasounds, endoscopies, surgical and other treatment-related assistance. Yard signs honoring individuals are displayed along Memory Mile with a purchase deadline and options for drop off and pickup. Registrations are non refundable, though transfers to the virtual event, deferrals, and distance changes are available under the event policies. Volunteers are accepted.
