Event Overview
The Shaver Lake Mile High Triathlon takes place at Camp Edison in Shaver Lake, California. The event features a diverse range of multisport and running categories including full triathlons, aquabikes, aquathlons, and duathlons in both sprint and Olympic distances. Course Details
The swim portion begins in the water at Rockhaven Point, where athletes navigate a buoy course. Wetsuits are permitted for all swim legs. The bike course is an out-and-back route that leaves Camp Edison, traveling along Highway 168 and Dinky Creek Road. This segment includes hilly terrain. The run course is held entirely within the grounds of Camp Edison, utilizing a mix of paved surfaces and trails. The running path includes several short, steep hills.

- Olympic Triathlon: 1600 yd swim, 23 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Sprint Aquabike: 800 yd swim, 11.4 mile bike
- Olympic Aquabike: 1600 yd swim, 23 mile bike
- Sprint Aquathlon: 800 yd swim, 3.1 mile run
- Olympic Aquathlon: 1600 yd swim, 6.2 mile run
- Sprint Duathlon: 3.1 mile run, 11.4 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- 5K Run: 3.1 miles on pavement and trails
- 10K Run: 6.2 miles (two loops of the 5K course)
Participant Amenities
All finishers receive a medal and an event t-shirt. The event provides a post race lunch featuring tri-tip sandwiches, chocolate milk, and various beverages. Photography services are available on-site, and race photos are provided to participants at no additional cost. Music and a team competition are also part of the event atmosphere.
