Event overview
The Huntington Lake Triathlon, 5k & 10k takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Lakeshore, CA near China Peak Resort. The event is hosted by the Activitynut Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3). Race entries include in-person and virtual options across multisport and run events. Multisport events are USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned and follow USAT rules; the 5K and 10K events are not subject to USAT rules for sanctions.

Logistics and rules
Packet pickup is offered on days prior to and the day of the event at specified locations, including a Thursday pickup at The Bike Shop @ Woodward Park and at the Lakeshore Boat Ramp parking lot. Multisport participants must present a USAT card copy and valid ID at packet pickup. A USAT membership is required for triathlon entry but not for the 5K/10K; memberships can be purchased during registration.
There is a $10 vehicle entrance parking fee at the venue. Safety provisions listed include multiple kayaks/paddleboards/certified lifeguards on the water and an EMT team on site. Recent water temperature was reported at 63 degrees and wetsuit requirements will follow USAT and race announcements. Registered athletes receive a finisher medal, event t-shirt, athlete goody bag, swim cap, post-race meal, pancake breakfast, and complimentary race photos; awards are given three-deep in each division.
