Event overview
The Sharsheret West Coast Dash is the 5th annual run/walk on Sunday, October 11, 2026, held at Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, CA. The event supports Sharsheret’s breast and ovarian cancer programs. The day includes an event festival on the beach and a group beach clean up after the races. Contributions excluding the value of race entry tickets are tax-deductible.

The 5K and 10K are chip timed and include a race t-shirt and finisher’s medal; they are recommended for elementary school-age participants and older. The Family Fun Race is a 1K, open to participants ages 1 and up, includes a t-shirt and medal, and will not be chip timed. The virtual race ships a t-shirt by mail for race tickets purchased by September 24.
The course is fully paved and located steps from the ocean. Early packet pickup is scheduled in the days before the event. Parking: the first 200 cars receive a free parking pass; general parking is $13 per car and cash is requested to expedite the process. There are three parking lots; the second lot is about a five minute walk to the start and festival. Some lots are reserved for volunteers and participants with special needs.
