Sharsheret West Coast Dash
Sharsheret West Coast Dash is a fundraising run and walk held on October 25, 2026 at Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, California. The event raises funds in support of breast and ovarian cancer programs and notes that contributions excluding the value of race entry tickets are tax-deductible.
The event program includes a race festival with food, refreshments, and entertainment, plus a group beach clean up directly following the Dash. Race packet pickup is available in advance on Thursday, October 22.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk, chip timed, includes race t-shirt and finisher's medal.
- 10K Run/Walk, chip timed, includes race t-shirt and finisher's medal.
- 1K Family Fun Race, no chip timing, includes race t-shirt and medal.
- 5K Virtual Race, t-shirt mailed for tickets purchased by October 7.
The course is fully paved and located steps from the ocean. The festival and finish area are in the beach parking lots. Parking details note that the first 200 cars receive a free parking pass, general parking is $13 per car with cash recommended, and there are three lots. Organizers recommend the second lot for proximity to the start; the third lot is reserved and has restricted exit during the event.
