Event Details
The Sharsheret West Coast Dash is scheduled for October 11, 2026 at Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, California. It is described as the 5th annual event, gathering participants in support of breast and ovarian cancer work. The event features a festival and a group beach clean-up following the race activities.
Distances
The run/walk event offers four race options:
- A 5K run/walk.
- A 10K run/walk.
- A 1K Family Fun Race.
- A Virtual Race.
The 5K and 10K courses are fully paved, located at the beach. These races are chip-timed and entry includes a t-shirt and finisher's medal. They are recommended for elementary school-age and above.
The 1K Family Fun Race is open to all ages and abilities, welcoming strollers. Entry includes a t-shirt and medal but the race is not chip-timed.
The Virtual Race option allows participation from anywhere. Tickets purchased by September 24, 2026 include a t-shirt mailed to the participant.
Logistics
Registration for all events opens on February 1, 2026. Team participation is encouraged for families, friends, schools, synagogues, or companies. An early bird packet pickup is scheduled for October 8, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Parking is available on-site at a cost of $13 per car, though the first 200 cars receive a free parking pass. Attendees are advised to have cash available.
