Malibu Moves Half Marathon, 10K & 5K | Zuma Beach 2026
Malibu Moves is the third annual running and walking event at Zuma Beach in Malibu, California, scheduled for October 24 and 25, 2026. The weekend offers multiple distances with courses that run along the Pacific Coast Highway and the Zuma Beach area.
The event includes these distances:
- Half Marathon: starts and ends at Zuma Beach, 100% on Pacific Coast Highway.
- 10K: out and back course along Pacific Coast Highway.
- 5K: out and back along Zuma Beach, 100% on Pacific Coast Highway.
- 1 Mile Zuma Dash: open to participants ages 4 and up.
- 1K Kids Run: designed for children ages 4 to 11.
A two day Coastal Quest Challenge pairs the 1 Mile Zuma Dash on Saturday with any Sunday race (5K, 10K, or Half Marathon). Challenge participants receive three medals, two shirts, and complimentary Beer Garden access on Sunday. The event is described as inclusive of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels, and the weekend also includes opportunities for volunteering and vendor participation.
In 2025 Malibu Moves raised $83,000 for local schools and fire relief, and organizers committed 2025 event proceeds to fire relief and rebuilding efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
