Shark Stride 5K - 2026
Shark Stride 5K is a charitable fun run held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Bill Frederick Park in Orlando, Florida. The event features a 5 kilometer course and is presented in person at the park located at 3401 South Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL 32835.
The race is organized by a group of more than 20 Physician Assistant students based in Orlando. The event is an annual fundraiser to support a medical mission trip to the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala. Organizers work with the PA led nonprofit Hands of Esperanza to provide medical support and healthcare to members of a local indigenous community.
All proceeds are donated toward the cost of medical supplies, medications, smoke diverting stoves, and durable water filtration systems. General admission tickets include a T shirt and are listed at $39.19. The event is open to all ages, offers free parking, and follows an in person format. Participants are informed that this is a fun race and may bring their own race clock to time themselves. Check in takes place at a registration table prior to the race.
