Shark Bite Half Marathon & 5k
The event is a two day race weekend held January 16 to 17, 2027 at 201 Buenos Aires St, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It includes multiple running events for adults and children across the weekend.
Distances and entry fees by event:
- Half Marathon Challenge, 16.2 Miles, $115.00
- 5k Challenge, 6.2 Miles, $79.00
- Feeding Frenzy 5k, 3.1 Miles, $40.00
- Shark Bite Half, 13.1 Miles, $84.00
- Shark Bite 5k, 3.11 Miles, $40.00
- Shark Bite Kiddie Dash, 300 m, $0.00
Combined challenge entries consist of a Saturday 5k plus a Sunday race. Participants in challenge entries receive finisher medals for each race plus a separate challenge medal. Shark Bite 5k finishers receive the same finisher medal as the half marathon finishers.
For the Shark Bite Half Marathon, the top 10 percent of male and female finishers receive a custom top finisher hat. A past year note indicates women received 80 hats while men received 40 hats. The Kiddie Dash is for children ages eight and younger and is run in age waves; it is not a registration option for the 5k distance.
Most events open registration on July 28, 2026 and close on November 30, 2026. The kiddie dash registration closes on January 17, 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
